2AM to become the 2nd idol group to host ‘SNL Korea’

Having recently concluded their ‘ One Spring Day’ promotions, 2AM will be returning to your television screen as the hosts of tvN’s ‘ Saturday Night Live Korea’ (SNL Korea).

On April 13th, 2AM will be hosting ‘SNL Korea’ and will be the second idol group to do so since Super Junior hosted the live comedy program back in 2012. A representative stated, “The skit concepts to 2AM’s episode is currently being planned but please look forward to the it.”

Teen Top’s Ricky keeps his promise and posts a book review

Teen Top’s Ricky kept the promise he made with his fans.

Back in February, a video of Ricky reading a book was uploaded on Teen Top’s official website. Upset of being accused that the book was for image purposes only, he promised to write a book review of all the books that he read.

On April 4th, Ricky posted a book review on Teen Top’s fancafe, “It’s my first book review! Because I am a man of my words.” He reviewed Guillaume Musso’s novels ‘A Mix-Up in Heaven’, ‘Lost and Found’ as well as recommended them to the fans.

‘Infinity Challenge’ members to appear in Psy’s “Gentleman” MV

YG Entertainment recently confirmed that Psy has invited Yoo Jae Suk, Noh Hong Chul, HaHa and Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga In to his new music video for his upcoming song “ Gentleman”. The agency further revealed that the cast of MBC’s ‘ Infinity Challenge’ has been recruited as well.

A representative announced, All seven members of ‘Infinity Challenge’ including Yoo Jae Suk, Noh Hong Chul, Park Myung Soo, Jung Junha, Jung Hyungdon, HaHa and Gil will feature in Psy’s new music video. The filming will take place in spots throughout Seoul for three days starting April 7th.

Meanwhile, Psy’s “Gentleman” will be first shown to the public at his concert ‘ HAPPENING’. It is expected to be big and various guests will be on stage to enjoy 50,000 fans at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

15& to hold guerilla concerts in Seoul

Celebrating their return, 15&’s Park Ji Min and Baek Ye Rin will be holding a series of guerilla concerts in Seoul.

According to JYP Entertainment, 15& will be having 4 guerrilla concerts at Han Rim Arts High School(12:30 PM), Seokang University (3 PM), Sejong University (5:30 PM) and Gangnam Station M Stage (8:00 PM).

During the guerrilla performances, Park Ji Min and Baek Ye Rin will be performing their latest single, “Somebody”. Fans all over the world can also enjoy the shows as they will be streamed live through Ustream ( http://www.ustream.tv/channel/geniemusic).

A representative stated, “We hope that people will enjoy 15&’s performance. Please show them a lot of love and support.”

Meanwhile, 15& held their official comeback performance on the season finale of ‘K-Pop Star 2’.

Get your 1st look at M.I.B’s “Nod to Me” music video

M.I.B surprised fans with news of their comeback on April Fool’s Day. Several days ago they released their track list and  now fans get their first glimpse of their music video for “Nod to Me“.

The hip hop group will return to fans after one year with their 2nd mini album ‘Money In The Building‘. Hip hop veterans of MFBTY (Tiger JK, Yoon Mi Rae, and Bizzy) not only feature the mini album, Tiger JK also produced the album.

The music video itself has a ‘epic movie’ vibe and though we don’t hear much of the track, the snippets we are giving look quite impressive.

U-Kiss to debut first sub-unit uBeat this April

Idol group U-Kiss will be forming its first ever sub-unit!

The exciting news was announced through NH Media’s official Twitter account on April 8th. The agency confirmed, “U-Kiss’ AJ, Eli and Kevin to debut as a subunit called uBEAT at the end of this month.”

According to their agency, uBEAT will release a mini album at the end of April which will contain two ~ three songs excluding the intro. The title song will be produced by hitmaker Brave Brothers who also worked with U-Kiss’ hit song, “Man Man Ha Ni”.

Returning with a duet album, Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga In released the full music video for duet track, “ Brunch” featuring labelmate and former MBC ‘ The Great Birth’ contestant, Choi Hyungwoo.

On April 8th, Ga In released her duet album ‘ Romantic Spring’. Fitting for the spring season, this new album is filled with romantic lovely songs and story about falling in love with a woman in the spring.

The title song “Brunch” is a bright love song written by Jung Suk Won and lyricized by Kim Ea Na, and showcases Ga In’s different charms.

Rookie duo group 15& made their official comeback on the season finale of ‘ K-Pop Star 2’ with their latest single “ Somebody”.

“Somebody” is a track written by Shim Eunji who also wrote 15&’s debut single “ I Dream”, and is co-composed by Ryan S. Jhun and Antwann Frost. The song features catchy melody, and Park Ji Min and Baek Ye Rin’s soulful voices.

EXO-M's Luhan and ZE:A's Im Siwan are the brains of their groups.

Who would have thought that some of the idols passion for something is the same? Luhan and Siwan are known to be 'Rubik's Cube maniacs'. Both of them like solving Rubik's Cube and have shown their skills. Luhan appeared on various Chinese variety shows and solving Rubik's Cube is considered to be his personal talent same as Siwan who displayed his talent on various shows in Korea.

What makes them more similar is that they are both the 'brain' of their respective groups. Luhan attended a foreign language school in China and can speak Korean fluently.

BTOB Wowed 1000 Taiwanese fans!

BTOB met 1000 fans in Taiwan.

On the 5th, BTOB flew to Taiwan to have their first ever fan meeting  ‘BTOB PressPlay in Taiwan’ in the country on the 6th. 1000 fans were able to meet and see the group performed live. BTOB proved their popularity upon arriving at the airport as it was filled with their fans waiting for them.

BTOB performed their hit songs, started with 'WOW' and they also sang ballad songs followed by their dance songs. What amazed fans was when they sang Taiwanese singer Jay Chow's 'Rainbow' and received hot response from the audience, singing along with the group.

On the other hand, BTOB will be coming back with 'Second Confession' on the 10th.

Three Siwon Fan Clubs in the Philippines Donated in Celebration of Siwon's Birthday! @siwon407

Super Junior's Choi Siwon turned 27 (Korean age) on April 7th, 2013. Three fan clubs in the Philippines including WeLoveChoiSiwon Philippines together with  Siwon Philippines (under SJPHELFS) and Captain Siwonest (under SJUPH) gathered to celebrate Siwon's birthday.

On the 6th, Filipino ELFs celebrated Siwon's birthday in a special way, it was held at Jollibee Vito Cruz from 1PM to 4PM. Siwon's look-alike, Kurt Othello Sadje also attended the event as a special guest. Fans surely enjoyed the birthday gathering because of the games, prizes and of course, spending quality time with their fellow Filipino ELFs. 

The main purpose of the gathering is to help other people, to donate to a church in the Philippines, 'Evangelical Methodist Church in Cambaog'. It is great to know that KPOP idols inspire people to do good deeds. They are indeed a great way to help people in need. Being a fan is not just about spending your money in buying merchandises, attending concerts but it is also about giving your best just to help people even in a small way in the name of your idol. The Philippine fan clubs especially  WeLoveChoiSiwon Philippines put much effort to make this event successful, from planning the event to making it possible. 

To certify their donation, certificates were given to the participating fan clubs.

Secret's Hyosung shows off her perfect body in solo performance

On March 29, at the final concert of Secret's solo concert tour,  "SECRET LIVE IN SINGAPORE", leader  Hyosung brought to stage her hot performances with " Naughty Girl" and  "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce.

Hyosung looked extremely sexy with a short tank top and hot pants showing off her amazing figure. Hyosung also did many complex dance moves, especially the Latin's hip dance surprising viewers with her skills. After the performance, fans even named her "Korean Beyonce".

It was revealed that Hyosung had to reduce 5kg for the performance. Hyosung's sacrifices are appreciated by fans:  Oh my god, did someone notice that Hyosung was much thinner?", "I've never seen such attractive Hyosung ever" " It was wonderful, charming and full of energy "...

Sungmin leaves Sukira, Ryeowook as the sole DJ

It has been announced that Super Junior's Sungmin will be leaving KBS Cool FM’S “Super Junior’s Kiss the Radio”. He has been DJing the radio program for two years and today is his last day.

Sungmin's departure from his seat is due to the schedule conflict with his upcoming Japanese musical 'Summer Show' in Osaka Japan, wherein he is the main lead.

In this case, no one will fill his chair, but his partner Ryeowook will be challenged to do DJing alone. In this, fans are assuming that Ryeowook might be joined by guest DJs from time to time or he will do it alone. Fans send their encouraging messages for the two DJs.

Earlier today, a staff from Super Junior's official facebook page also wrote,

Super Junior Eunhyuk showed his brotherly affection towards his dongsaeng Siwon who is celebrating his birthday today.

However, instead of touching greetings, he wrote on his twitter account,

"Just finished the recording ~~~!!! and Ma-Shi, happy birthday. You have gained an age therefore you've become a mature adult like hyung. Shave your beard too."

It seems like Eunhyuk is teasing Siwon by showing his clean face.
