[2014 MAMA/D-28] EXO and Winner in Deadlock for Artist of the Year, GOT7 Ousts Winner for Best New Artist

As predicted, the tides have turned in just two days since we last reported the current rankings in online votes for the 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).

On Monday, EXO was hanging on by a thread in the UnionPay Artist of the Year category, but as of Wednesday November 5, 10 a.m KST, Winner has inched ahead, locking in a few thousand more votes than EXO. But with votes piling in by the minute, only time will tell how long Winner can hold onto the top spot.

Meanwhile, in the Best New Artist category, Winner’s main competition GOT7 has taken over the top spot with 38.2 percent of votes, with a mere 0.1 percent more votes than Winner, who currently stands in second place with 38.1 percent of votes.

In the Best Male Group category, Super Junior has seen in a surge in votes, currently in the lead with 32.5 percent of votes, while EXO follows in a close second place with 31.6 percent of votes.
