Girls’ Generation Wins No.1 Against CNBLUE and Soyu x Junggigo on Inkigayo 03.09.14

The March 9 broadcast of SBS’ “Inkigayo” saw a fierce three-way competition for first place as the nominees were Girls’ Generation, Soyu x Junggigo, and CNBLUE. Girls’ Generation held their comeback stage, performing their songs “Mr. Mr.” and “Back Hug.” The veteran girl group validated their popularity as they were nominated for first place despite it being their comeback week. Soyu and Junggigo have also validated their dominance on the online music charts as the two were once again nominated for their love song, “Some,” despite not releasing a physical album. Flower boy band CNBLUE were nominated for their song, “Can’t Stop,” as the band utilized a piano, a drum, and guitars to showcase a new style of music.

Besides the three nominees, TVXQ, 2NE1, Sunmi, Park Ji Yoon, Spica, Nell, BESTie, SPEED, Melody Day, Taewon, C-Clown, and LUNAFLY all showed their spectacular performance. However, at the end of the day the winners were announced, and the winner was Girls’ Generations!
