[Interview] ZE:A’s Im Si Wan Feels Lucky About the Past Two Years

As a member of idol group ZE:A, Im Si Wan has recently received much spotlight for his appearance in the movie The Attorney.

The ZE:A member took on the role of ‘Jin Woo’ in the movie, pulling off torture scenes for being involved in a pro-communist case.

“I feel like I’ve been lucky for the past two years,” said Im Si Wan, about getting many positive feedbacks on his acting. “I especially got more than I deserve throughout 2013. I haven’t been setting goals for the New Year since 2012, since I was getting such good results. I was afraid to hope to get more. I just wish that I could maintain how I’m doing now, but even that’s a hard task. How could I keep shooting movies that sell over ten million tickets?”

When he was asked if Kwang Hee is still jealous of him, he said, “He’s not jealous anymore, because I think he realized the path he has to walk,’ with a laugh.

When he was asked about only a certain members of ZE:A receiving the spotlight, he answered, “Both Kwang Hee and Hyung Sik have been doing well in their own place. I did my best in my position, and received good results. Just like how Kwang Hee, Hyung Sik and Dong Jun received the spotlight, as time goes by, I’m sure the other members will get opportunity to shine as well. This will naturally raise each of our responsibilities.”

Not wanting to give up on either career, he has been actively promoting as a singer and an actor.

“Even my fans get divided up into actor fans and singer fans,” said Im Si Wan. “But that’s just something I have to deal with. I cannot choose which field I feel more attached to. I am greedy, so I cannot give up on either of them.”
