“Gangnam Style” added to Time Magazine’s Urban Dictionary
Psy’s “Gangnam Style” has been added to a list of trendy internet catch-phrases by a U.S. weekly magazine, Time Magazine.
On September 13th, Time Magazine included the phrase “Gangnam Style” in its Weekly Highlight of Vocabulary, defining it as “a manner associated with lavish lifestyles in Seoul’s Gangnam district”.
The word has been registered to the Urban Dictionary after it became popular since South Korean rapper Psy released a cheeky music video for his track, “Gangnam Style”. The definition also added that Psy’s signature “horse-riding dance” has made K-pop music the toast of trend watchers.
