JYJ member Kim Jaejoong’s popularity in Japan was proven once again.
The Japanese magazine ‘Ang Ang’ recently held a survey asking readers to vote on their favorite hallyu drama. SBS drama ‘Protect the Boss’ in which Jaejoong had starred took the top spot. Jaejoong himself also ranked 3rd in the ‘Most Favorite Korean Actor’ category.
Japanese magazine ‘Ang Ang’ is a the hottest fashion magazine in Japan, and it is largely popular among women in 20s and 30s.
‘Protect the Boss’ began airing on TBS in Japan and enjoyed widespread popularity in Japan. The special making-of DVD of the drama topped in the sales chart as soon as the reservation began.
A Japanese TV representative stated, “Jaejoong has a large fan base and ‘Protect the Boss’ became very popular all across Japan. Jaejoong has become a popular Hallyu actor loved by many young people.”
