SM

SM Entertainment pulled out of SBS’ K-Pop Star series this season, but the agency is still searching for idol hopefuls to take under its wings, announcing plans in February to scour the world for undiscovered talent through the 2014 SM Global Audition.

Super Junior-M’s Henry, f(x)’s Amber and EXO’s Kris are among the idols who were picked up through the global audition, and SM is looking to Korea, China, Japan, America, Canada, Indonesia and Thailand this year with hopes of digging up diamonds in the rough.

YG

Just a few days ago, YG Entertainment announced it will hold auditions in Greater China for the first time, with plans to make stops in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong beginning on March 29 in search of hidden talent.

While SM and JYP have already debuted multiethnic idol groups, YG finally jumping on the bandwagon is sure to excite foreigners who want a shot at K-Pop stardom via the agency.

JYP

As SM and YG focus on global talent, JYP Entertainment is zoning in on a specific group: Teenagers.

JYP announced it will be launching an audition exclusively for teens (those born between 1996 and 2003) via the JYP Dream Teen Audition, which will take place on April 5.

The rest of us may not be getting any younger, but the future of K-Pop sure is thanks so JYP.

So, which agency do you want to join? Vote now!
