Lee Joon, Ryu Seung Ryong and Shim Eun Kyung Confirmed for Disaster Film “Seoul Station”
MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon has been cast for the upcoming disaster film “Seoul Station” (working title) along with Ryu Seung Ryong and Shim Eun Kyung.
“Seoul Station” is about a homeless man living in the central point of the city, Seoul Station, showing strange symptoms, which later on dangerously spreads throughout the city.
The film will be directed by Yeon Sang Ho, who has also worked on “King of Pigs” and “The Fake.” Director Yeon commented, “I’ve been working on this film since 2006 and finally it is about to go into production so it feels very new. I’m especially happy that I could work with great actors that I’ve always paid attention to.”
Ryu Seung Ryong remarked, “I felt something strong from this film. After watching director Yeon’s past films, I really wanted to star in one of his movies. The message of the film, the interesting story and all of the characters left a deep impression on me.”
Actress Shim Eun Kyung commented, “Director Yeon’s past film ‘The Fake’ left such a deep impression on me. I’m so honored to be working with him. I think it’ll be a new challenge for me.”
Finally, Lee Joon stated, “I felt that the scenario had an extraordinary development after reading it. I’m also honored to be working with my respected senior Ryu Seung Ryong and Shim Eun Kyung.”
“Seoul Station” is planned to hit theaters in early 2015.
