Girls’ Generation’s iconic music video for “ Gee” has reached the 100,000,000 Youtube views mark.
“Gee” music video reached the milestone three years and 10 months after it was released on June 8, 2009. While Psy’s “ Gangnam Style” still holds the record for most viewed video on Youtube, Girls’ Generation’s “Gee” becomes the most viewed video by a Kpop idol group.
Girls’ Generation has also acquired 70 million views with “ The Boys” music video. The dance version of “ MR. TAXI” has racked up 73 million views to date while the Korean version of “ Oh!” has garnered nearly 64 million views.
The group’s latest single, “ I Got a Boy,” has only been out since January, but is already just a few thousand views shy of the 50 million mark.
