Actress Jo Yeo Jung revealed that she feels competitive with “Working Girl” co-star Clara.
On December 26, Clara and Jo Yeo Jung attended a press conference located at the Dongdaemun MegaBox in Seoul for their upcoming comedy film.
Clara, who will play Nanhee, a sex expert whose adult store is on the verge of closing down, was asked, “Was there any rivalry between the two actresses during filming?” She replied, “There wasn’t any competitiveness in particular because [Jo Yeo Jung’s] character and my character are so different. Even our fashion is different, as I wore clothes befitting a sex expert.”
Clara continued, “I liked eating together and sharing [openly] with Jo Yeo Jung. To be honest, it was the first time I had such an experience. We would share workout tips. There was no rivalry to have the better body.”
Jo Yeo Jung, who will depict perfectionist career woman Bohui who gets fired overnight, remarked, “Clara is someone who puts in a lot of effort. I really admire her for that. More than being competitive about looks, I was jealous of her hard work. I think I worked pretty hard too, but Clara would work even harder.”
“Working Girl” follows the story of Bohui, a promising employee at a toy company who is on the brink of promotion when she gets fired after messing up a presentation. Bohui then teams up with Nanhee, an adult store CEO, to revive Nanhee’s dying business. Helmed by the director of the “Horror Stories” series, Jung Bum Sik, the movie will deal with issues of family and work.
“Working Girl” will premiere in theaters on January 8 of next year.
