Kim Jong Kook held his first solo concert “Run, Kim Jong Kook” in Harbin, China on December 27.
Through his activities on variety shows, most notably SBS’ “Running Man,” Kim Jong Kook has exploded in popularity with Chinese fans. Indeed, his first solo concert was sold out as soon as ticket sales opened.
For the many fans who were unable to get a ticket, Kim Jong Kook made sure they could still tune in to a live broadcast via a mobile messaging platform.
Heo Geon, CEO of Kim Jong Kook’s management agency Urban Works ENT, commented, “Thank you for giving [Kim Jong Kook] a lot of love as he goes back and forth between Korea and China to participate in a variety of activities, including those related to music and entertainment. Through this concert, Kim Jong Kook hopes to communicate his thankful heart to local fans, and going forward, we will create more opportunities for him to engage with you.”
The next stop of “Run, Kim Jong Kook” will be Beijing on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2015.
