YG Entertainment’s new boy group Winner successfully started its first Japan tour Winner 1st Japan Tour 2014.
Winner previously released its Japanese debut album 2014 S/S— Japan Collection— on September 10, ranking number two on Oricon’s daily chart and number one on the mu-mo album real time chart, making a successful debut in Japan.
Following the album release, Winner launched Winner 1st Japan Tour 2014 on September 11 in Zepp Tokyo, bringing the heat over to the fans.
Winner made its appearance on the stage filled with smoke, presenting the opening ceremony in a fashion show style, followed by stages decorated in neon street or show theatre concepts, offering a fancy show for the fans. Winner also performed the entire self-composed debut album live, receiving loud cheers from the crowd.
Apart from the dance performances, Winner caught attention by conveying sincere sentiments through its signature music style, presenting the fans with music that contains five charming voices with their own unique colors.
Over the duration of two hours, Winner performed around 19 songs, including Go up from WIN: Who Is Next and the double titles Empty and Color Ring from the debut album.
Kang Seung Yoon said, “The essence of our music is not to beat others but to heal. In the end, we hope that people who listen to our music can become ‘winner’ and come to have positive and strong minds.”
