"Wonderful Days" Drama
Ok Taecyeon is working hard as he will star in an upcoming drama this week which will be on KBS. Taecyeon is going to be working with actor Lee Seo Jin and actress Kim Hee Sun. The title of this upcoming drama is "Wonderful Days" which will air on weekends. So, if your living in South Korea and is a huge Ok Taecyeon fan, you can watch the twenty-five years old play as a bodyguard for this drama series. The bodyguard suits him because on his previous drama for "Who Are You", Ok Taecyeon acted as a "rookie police officer". He did fabulous by playing that part; so now, he will be a strong and tough bodyguard for "Wonderful Days."
Storyline or Plot
The storyline for this upcoming hit drama series features Ok Taecyeon by him playing as Kang Dong Hee who is the "younger brother" for Dong Seok (Lee Seo Jin). Kang Dong Hee (Ok Taecyeon) as well his older brother, will be the main characters by showing the importance of brotherly support throughout this drama. Dong, who is a person that is not one to mess with is a person that you do not upset because he is "quick-tempered" as well really packs a punch. So with this combination, Dong gets "kicked out of high school" due to a fight by him protecting his fellow "classmate" Seo Jeong Ah. Even though Dong gets kicked out of high school and all, him along with his fellow classmate Seo meets once again in "three months". Only thing though is that Dong finds out that his classmate from high school is now "pregnant."
"Wonderful Days" hopes to be an upcoming hit by showing the importance of family and that support is needed during tough times. This drama will be a "warm-hearted family series" by the story of the two brothers being heavily emphasized for this drama. Mentioned earlier was that Ok Taecyeon will be playing as a bodyguard; the company in-which he is working at is with his "older brother's first love," Cha Hae Won who is "played" by actress Kim Hee Sun. This is going to be interesting to see how Dong (Lee) will react when he finds out that Kang (Taecyeon) is working at the same company where Cha (Kim) is. This is why the drama is looking to be a hit during the weekend.
How Does Ok Taecyeon Feel Playing As Kang Dong Hee?
Ok Taecyeon is going to test his acting skills even further because by him playing the character Kang Dong Hee, this role will put his acting skills to test. Playing as a bodyguard as well as facing the role as a troubled guy is going to really challenge Taecyeon compared to the previous roles he's played. While the story line is considered warm, this is only going to be seen at the end or close to the end of the series; the beginning and middle, Taecyeon will find out that his character seriously has "family issues". Also, Ok will also know that his character maybe a husband of two children. On a recent press conference last Tuesday, Ok Taecyeon explained how he feels playing Kang in the drama, stating, "I think my character Dong-hee has a lot of charming qualities. He isn't just a guy's guy. I think that his personality changes depending on whom he interacts with, be it his older brother Dong-seok, Hae-won, or his mom." Other than him explaining how he feels about his character on the drama, another question came up regarding working alongside Kim who is ten years older than him. Taecyeon stated, "No, it is not hard to work to with her at all. I am having a great time working with her." Age does not seem a factor for Ok Taecyeon as Kim and he are getting along fine while they film the drama. Numerous laughter and fun goes on off-set by Taecyeon and Kim while discussing their scripts together. Kim does not seem mind to working alongside an "incredibly strong" bodyguard.
Does Taecyeon Have the Butterflies?
Filming on-camera and acting can be hard and nerve-wracking sometimes. You will never know when you will mess up by forgetting your line on the script. This goes alongside with K-Pop idols who are taking roles in dramas. Performing on-stage and acting on camera has its similarities because they rehearse and practice everyday until perfection is achieved. Public viewers are watching on television and any mistakes spotted affects the viewer-rating as well bothers the actors, actress, and idol from negative comments if mistakes are seen by the people. Taecyeon explained what it is like to act. Ok said, "It's fun to become a character and live a life that is not my own."
Other Dramas Ok Taecyeon Has Starred in
