Fans of K-Pop in the United States have a lot to look forward to, in terms of top talent that will be visiting in the Spring. One of the most surprising additions to the concert circuit has been the recent addition of the KBS America 'Open Concert L.A. K-Pop Festival'. The concert The 'Open Concert L.A. K-Pop Festival' will be held in conjunction with the Los Angeles Korean Association and will be the largest K-Pop concert to occur in North America. The concert will be free and held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on April 12th. Top K-Pop acts including SHINee, 2PM, CNBLUE, Girl's Day, and SISTAR will perform along with hip hop act Dynamic Duo.

The method of ticket distribution for the KBS America 'Open Concert L.A. K-Pop Festival' has yet to be announced. However, it has been noted that the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum can be configured to accommodate up to 100,000 audience members. KBS America previously held an 'Open Concert' at Overpeck Park in New Jersey, in 2011. While nine acts were announced to perform, there will be a total of fourteen present. K-Pop fans are curious to see who the remaining acts will be. However, EXO fans have noted that EXO be in Japan for their 'EXO Greeting Party', during the time frame of the festival. The festival will begin on April 12th at 11AM, with the concert scheduled for 5:30PM. KBS will broadcast the 'Open Concert' to worldwide audiences in the weeks following the concert.

The first two acts have been announced for the 'Korea Times Music Festival'. The 'Korea Times Music Festival' will be held on May 3rd at the Hollywood Bowl. On February 20th, organizers announced that girl groups Crayon Pop and Dal★shabet would be two of the headlining acts. Tickets for the 'Korea Times Music Festival' are currently on sale, with more acts to be announced. The 'Korea Times Music Festival' was started in 2003, as an event intended to deliver entertainment to the local Korean-American audience.

Kicking off the influx of K-Pop acts for the Spring will be Jay Park and 4Minute's HyunA, who will appear at the prestigious SXSW music festival. SXSW highlights some of the most innovative musical acts to be found, worldwide. Jay Park and HyunA will attend the festival from March 11th through March 16th. Korea will also be represented at SXSW by top indie pop and rock acts such as Galaxy Express, Glen Check, YB, and Love X Stereo.
