TV Show “Take Care of My Dad” Gets Best Rating out of All Lunar New Year Pilots

SBS‘ pilot program “Take Care of My Dad” received best rating out of all Lunar New Year pilot programs.

As Lunar New Year holidays are used by various broadcasting stations to, many were interested in which program will win first place in the fight to gain best viewer rating. TV show “Take Care of My Dad” received a surprising rating of 13.5%, which is better than ratings of highly anticipated programs such as “Mystery Music Show Mask King” (9.8%) and “Game of Throne” (5.0%). The show even received best rating on February 20 among non-pilot programs of main broadcasting stations such as the “Infinity Challenge” documentary (11.6%), “2015 Idol Star Athletic Championships” (9.3%), “Laws of the Jungle” (11.8%), and “I Live Alone” (12.3%).

“Take Care of My Dad” is a reality show about celebrity fathers in their 50′s, such as actors, Kang Suk WooJo Min Gi, and show MC Lee Kyung Gyu, interacting with their daughters in their 20′s. While Lee Kyung Gyu and Jo Jae Hyun seemed awkward around their daughters, not being able to make a solid conversation with them, Jo Min Gi and Kang Suk Woo showed close relationships with their daughters and were a big contrast to the other fathers. The celebrity fathers wished to recover their relationship with their daughters through the program.

The second episode of “Take Care of My Dad” is to air February 21 at 6 p.m. KST. The show already gained fans from the first episode, and many are anticipating the program to become a regular.

Meanwhile, TV show “Superman Returns” also started off from Chusok holidays as a pilot program.
