Big Bang’s Daesung to Release Solo Album in Korea

After a long wait, Big Bang’s Daesung is finally releasing a solo album in Korea.

After releasing Cotton Candy in 2010, Daesung will be greeting fans with a solo album for the first time in four years. He will also be releasing a Japanese solo album as well as an arena tour, showing his full capacity as a vocalist in two countries.

Big Bang’s Daesung to Release Solo Album in Korea

Starting 2014 with the Big Bang six dome tour that entertained 771,000 people, Daesung will push forward activities in Korea and Japan as a solo vocalist while showing a brand new image to fans abroad.

From June to July, he will hold an arena tour in Japan. Starting at the Yokohama Arena on June 11, Daesung will move onto Kobe World Memorial Hall, Marinemesse Fukuoka, Xebio Arena Sendai, Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center, Nihon Gaishi Hall, and finally Nihon Budukan on July 17 in a seven city tour with a total of 12 concerts.

This upcoming arena tour is expected to attract 125,000 people and will be a larger-scaled compared to the previous tours.

In early 2013, Daesung released his Japanese solo album, D’scover and rose to number two on Oricon’s Weekly Charts. He also successfully completed his D-Lite D’scover Tour 2013 in Japan solo tour with 20 cities, 26 performances, and 100,000 fans.

He also released his first solo single I Love You, collaborating with famous violinist, Taro Hakase.

With his success as a soloist in Japan and as a Big Bang member, Daesung is gathering much anticipation as a solo vocalist as he gears up his Korean and Japanese solo album release and first Japanese arena tour.
